TRANSITI0NAL living program
Make a move toward independence
Cultivate's NEW initiative
(currently in development)
For the last nine plus years, Cultivate has been working to help emerging adults discover their gifting and calling, to identify what is holding them back from moving into their future, and to prepare for thriving marriage. In recent years, this has led us to relationships with several youth who have aged out of foster care.
Before working with youth in foster care, we had no idea what they faced when they leave this care. When they transition out of the system, most will have no support... no one to empower them or help them move into thriving adulthood. According to recent statistics, 97% of them are destined to eventual homelessness and poverty if they do not have someone in their corner.
We have other youth in our community who are not part of the foster care system but who are good students, showing strong motivation and work ethic and yet they find themselves homeless through no fault of their own They have the genuine desire to move beyond their circumstances but have no resources to do so.
Cultivate is working towards launching a new program to help emerging adults transition toward independent living. This program will provide housing support, life skills training, and community. This will empower both under-resourced and former foster youth to develop and pursue goals for education, career and independence as they meet clear requirements and responsibilities.
in progress...
During November 2025, Cultivate acquired a house in the Newnan area and began working on some much needed renovations to the main floor to make it suitable for housing young adults.

The renovations are almost complete and the house is currently in the process of being furnished. We want to give a huge shout-out to Clayton Appliance for donating multiple appliances!

We created a registry on Amazon and invited people to help provide some of the furnishings and the response has been outstanding. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU who purchased items on Amazon! Just look at all the boxes that came in one weekend...

We would love to have you join us on this journey! Would you consider making a contribution to help fund any furnishings that are still needed, OR... do you have some quality furniture that you are willing to donate for it?
This first facility is intended to house young men ages 18-22 who have been approved through an application and interview process. We will need new monthly supporters to help fund the ongoing program once we are able to launch it later this year.
We appreciate your prayers as we work toward providing for emerging adults in our community! If you are interested in learning more about this, please reach out to us by completing the "GET MORE INFORMATION" form at the bottom of this page.
