Cultivate exists to foster community, growth, creativity, and purpose in the next generation of emerging adults. But what does that look like in practical terms? Our updates are intended to give you real examples of how this is being done in the lives of young adults and how we are planning to continue to see this happen.
COMPASS
I initially reached out to Elise while I was at work. I was at a moment in my life where I was at a complete loss of what I wanted for my future. All I knew for sure was that I did not want being a barista to be my career. When Elise told me about Compass, it felt like a lifeline was thrown to me.
Since I have taken part in this program, I have gained not only a newfound focus on my goals for the future, but I have also gained a better insight and confidence in my own strengths and skills. Compass has helped me re-evaluate my priorities in life and to take more confident steps toward being the person that God has called me to be.
While I’m still a barista for now, thanks to Compass, I have now begun to take the first steps toward obtaining a Master’s degree in Counseling and utilizing my artistic skills to help those who struggle with mental illness and trauma.

SLUMBER PARTIES WITH PURPOSE
The first weekend of March, Cultivate is providing multiple hosting locations for streaming of the IF Conference for women. These small slumber parties for girls and their friend groups will provide a unique way to experience this year's conference while keeping social distancing guidelines in mind. The theme of the conference is “EVEN IF,” based on Habakuk 3:17-19. Please pray for these young women as they hear powerful truths and engage in purposeful conversations.
DIFFICULT CONVERSATIONS
As news continues to break about the moral failure of Christian leaders, we know we must respond. But how? All we know to do is to gather those who have questions, and to discuss the painful realities of these times in light of the truth of God’s Word. Our conversations will not be perfect, … but the conversations need to happen.
The next generation is trying to discern if Christianity is for real or just a joke. Please pray for us as we take time to address what we are trying to grapple with ourselves.
EMPOWERMENT
We are constantly being asked by emerging adults about resources that can help them with the issues they are dealing with. Cultivate has joined with RightNow Media to provide quality resources from reliable sources to help emerging adults grow, disciple, and empower themselves and others.
